Vikas Chandra also cleaned bio-chemical wastes of PMCH, Patna with naked hands. In this campaign he got infected with tuberculosis. Ultimately, under the direction of the Patna High Court, the State Government installed incinerators for the disposal of bio-chemical wastes of the PMCH campus

Thanks to Vikas Chandra’s legal battle, 1000 acres of land in various government institu-tions, such as government medical college and hospitals, district hospitals, 86 Goshala lands, Patna University, the Veterinary College cam-pus and govt school campuses, and forest land of 352 acres illegally encroached upon was re-moved from encroachers.
