Hanging the ‘main-stream legal-consultancy’ boots at a young age may seem like an irrational decision to many. But not for Abhishek. He considers it as a major decision in his life. Having the courage to quit a highly rewarding and high paying role as an equity partner of a leading law firm of India and to start something one is passionate about, is not everyone’s cup-of-tea. Mr. Sinha wanted to do something that he truly believed in. In 2020, he founded Not Just Lex, a platform to bridge the gap between academia and industry in the legal education sector. Soon his Government recognized startup was acknowledged and honored with several national and international awards, notably: the Best Education & Training Initiative by India Legal Awards (2020 & 2021), the Best Legal Education Platform by Asia Pacific International Award (2021), the Best Online Legal Education Platform by Pride of Indian Education (2020), and Startup of the Year by Business Connect (2020).
