Director of J.V.N Heart Hospital in Patna and a famous cardiologist, Dr. Vikas Kumar is a well –known name in field of cardiology. Since his childhood, he wanted to provide treatment at low cost to the underprivileged by becoming a cardiologist. To fulfil this dream Dr. Vikas dedicated his whole life to medical field. Related to a lower class family, Dr. Vikas spent his income for this cause.

For the first time Dr. Vikas came be known when he started his career in Patna and started ultramodern C.C.U with Full Cardiac Set-up and Cathlab. In the midst of it he started J.V.N Hospital. According to Dr. Vikas, it has usually been observed that doctors start their career by opening a private clinic or associating with some big hospital. In this situation, the possibility of cost of expenditure by patients remains high. He succeeded in cutting off the expenditure of patients to one-third through his full set-up.

Doctor Vikas was born in lower class family in Patna’s Masaudi and he obtained his primary education from here. After passing the exam for class 10 in 1997, Dr. Vikas shifted to Allahabad along with his family and passed I.Sc examination from Jamna Christian Inter College. Already created an identity as a brilliant student, Vikas passed P.M.T examination organised by Banaras Hindu University in year 2000. After obtaining an M.B.B.S degree in 2005, he passed M.D (Post Graduate) examination in first attempt. During this time, Dr. Vikas successfully completed a M.D in general medicine from Banaras Hindu University in year 2009. In the same year, Dr. Vikas contributed as a senior resident in Cardiology Department of B.H.U, where he was appointed till 2011.
