Our late President Dr.A.P.J Abdul Kalam used to say that we should dream.These are not the dreams that we dream while asleep. A dream is one which does not let one sleep. The one who personified this motivational quote, an illustrious doctor of Bihar’s Divisional Haedquarter Bhagalpur, Dr.Devendra Prasad Singh commonly known as Dr.D.P.Singh is quite famous among people. Dr.D.P.Singh is a personality who by his dedicated services has touched many lives and in the proccess earned a name in field of medical science.

Born in a humble farmer family,Devendra Prasad demonstrated his brilliance quite early,securing his matriculation. There after he continued to exwl in his studies from M.B.B.S to M.D from Patna Medical College and Hospital. He then obtained a diploma in Tuberculosis and Chest Disease. It was through sheer heard work and determination that Dr.D.P.Singh realised his dream of becoming a doctor.Living up to the expectations of his family and becoming the pride of his village.Choosing the noblest of professions to persue as his livelihood,he has dedicated his live to serve the society in many ways.

Acknowledging his popularity among people,he was accorded the honour of ” Ang Gaurav” on 7 January 2017 by co-ordination committee of Prabhat newspaper(Daily Newspaper).He has also been awarded with community service award in December 2017 for various developmental works at the post of secretary I.M.A Bihar in National session of I.M.A organised in Mumbai.He was given the UNESCO Chair Award in on 7 January,2017. He has been honoured with “Healthy Living Award” on September 2017 by Zee Media from the R.J.D Supremo Lalu Prasad.
